Mosquitoes

In 2007 Jiri Straka painted a series of paintings depicting a motif of a mosquito smashed on the wall, where the motif of blood stain plays significant decorative role. Like in the Samsara cycle also in this theme Jiri Straka connects the theme of death and suffering with an ironic and humorous interpretation.
